Hi! I’m Jack Waitley.

Outside of that, I’m a Chicagoan, a diehard Blackhawks fan, a golden-retriever lover, a rap music connoisseur, and above all, a guy who loves good, clean design across all mediums. In my free time, you’ll find me playing hockey (yes, I still play), drawing, spending time with friends, or dabbling in the occasional Connor Bedard highlight reel.

From a young age, I knew I was passionate about design. I come from a family of artists and creatives spanning multiple generations who propelled me in this direction for my career. After working a range of jobs requiring strong attention to detail from caddying to warehouse management, it was clear when I got to IU in 2020 that creative advertising was going to the the path I went down.

In February of 2025, I was hired as a Studio Designer at MERGE in Chicago. Since then, I’ve worked on projects for a wide range of clients, spanning consumer, healthcare, & financial verticals.
